First Aid

3 different levels of first aid to provide a flexible solution suitable to your needs. Nationally Recognised Training delivered by industry experts to provide a first aid response to a casualty.

First Aid is renewed every three years and is inclusive of the CPR unit, and CPR is renewed annually. The Provide CPR singular unit is only recommended for those renewing their CPR certificate. 

Delivery Type: Both the First Aid and CPR courses will be hybrid online & face to face. You will be sent a link to complete the online component of the course that must be completed prior to face to face course commencement.

Course Requirements

Please read all requirements before enrolling.

You must provide a USI number with your enrolment. www.usi.gov.au 

Wear appropriate clothing for practical elements such as CPR and recovery position.

Submit theory online prior to attending practical training.

This Course extends upon the Provide CPR training and Provide basic emergency life support training to include additional casualty management in:

  • envenomation and poisoning
  • fractures
  • dislocations
  • sprains and strains
  • diabetes
  • hypothermia and hyperthermia
  • seizures and stroke
  • eye injury
  • head, neck and spinal injury

HTLAID010

Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

This Course extends upon the Provide CPR training to also include additional casualty management in:

  • anaphylaxis
  • asthma
  • non-life-threatening bleeding
  • choking
  • shock
  • wound dressings and bandages
  • first aid kit management

HTLAID009

Provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation/CPR (popular)

This Course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed in an emergency situation to:

  • perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • provide lifesaving support with an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • communicate effectively with emergency services
  • duty of care, legal and post incident management

Course assessment will include performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR and following the prompts of an AED to deliver at least one shock.

Cardiac Arrest is a life threatening emergency and can occur at any time at home, work, sports, schools and in public.

Effective 7th May, SafeWork NSW will be introducing a new online process for High Risk Work (HRW) Assessments.

All students undertaking a HRW Assessment will now be required to register via their Service NSW account.

🔹 Action Required:
Before your scheduled assessment, please ensure you:

  1. Have a Service NSW account.

  2. Follow the new online registration steps.
